I am listening to the radio, and I am overwhelmed with emotions. Just hearing the voices of the people on that day... it's just unbelievable.
I remember it vividly. I was only eight years old and on my way to school. My father had the news on and was yelling at the television. I saw the fire and smoke and was utterly confused. No one, not at home nor at school, explained it to me. I knew something terrible had happened, but the details were lost on me.
Watching a special on TV a few days ago chilled me to the bone. Seeing those images, and hearing those phone calls... I started weeping. I couldn't believe it. It was all too much.
